Joseph Butler

President & CEO 

Joseph Butler founded Cyber Maturity Consulting, LLC in 2024. He is responsible for overseeing consulting activities dealing with NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, and CMMC.

Before starting Cyber Maturity Consulting, LLC, Joseph spent 9 years in the U.S. Army and 19 years performing IT and Cybersecurity services as a Department of Defense (DoD) Contactor for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) in security and management roles throughout the globe, to inlcude Afghanistan, Iraq, South Korea, and Colorado Springs, CO.

Joseph holds a MS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and BS in Information Technology, both from Western Governors University.
